1. Introduction
1.1 iSpeak Ltd ("iSpeak," "we," "us," "our") provides its iSpeak service (described below) through its websites located at ispeak.to and speakduo.com (the "Site(s)") and through its mobile applications and related services (collectively, such services, including any new features and applications, and the Site, the "Service(s)"). The iSpeak service is comprehensive learning management system designed to enhance English speaking skills through the integration of artificial intelligence ("AI") technology. This Privacy Policy sets forth our policy with respect to the collection, use, and protection of personal information, including personally identifiable data ("Personal Data"), gathered from users interacting with the iSpeak service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Personal Data That You Provide Through the Service:
We collect Personal Data from you when you voluntarily provide such information, such as when you contact us with inquiries, register for access to the iSpeak Service. The Personal Data collected may include information necessary for account creation, such as your name and email address. iSpeak will never share teacher or student data for commercial purposes.
2.2 Audio Recordings, Text Input and Device Information:
The iSpeak Service allows teachers to upload videos, link to external sites and submit text and audio recordings. Students can also submit audio recordings for AI analysis and feedback. We may collect technical information of the connecting device, such as IP address, device information, browser type, and operating system, to enhance the functionality, security, and performance of the iSpeak Service. We never share this data to third parties for commercial purposes.
3. How We Use Your Information
3.1 Providing and Improving the Service:
We use the information, including audio recordings, to operate, maintain, and improve the iSpeak Service. This includes providing personalized feedback on language learning submissions. We are currently not training future AI models and we will not retrospectively use data for this purpose. If we do train AI, we will ensure the user is informed before any subsequent recordings. We never share data with third parties for commercial purposes.
3.2 Communication:
We use information to facilitate communication between students and teachers, as well as responding to user inquiries. Students can only record on iSpeak when they are attached to a teacher. The audio recordings and their transcripts are accessible to teachers to whom the students are assigned. The audio recordings can be deleted from the student’s own dashboard, and this will remove it from the teacher’s view.
4. Information Sharing
